Maria Vardalou
(Lead Trainer – ERYT 500 Senior Teacher)
My yoga journey began years ago, basically as a response and relief to my hectic lifestyle. Having studied foreign languages in my BA (English, Spanish, French) and teaching methodology in my MA, I found teaching yoga a natural extension of my existing teaching experience after so many years in classrooms with a variety of students of all ages.
Certified 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga teacher after completing my first training course with Sampoorna India, 200-hour Yogaworks© certified instructor and 300 hours with D’vine Yoga Rishikesh I consider myself a passionate instructor with experience and extensive practice in various types of yoga at different levels, with an inner commitment to make a difference by applying the broad knowledge of yogic philosophy and using yoga as a healthy lifestyle through nutrition, breathing techniques and meditation. I have also recently completed 2 more trainings 30 hours of Restorative Yoga (Your Yoga Flow ~ Helene Whitfield) – 60 hours of Yin Yoga with Bodsphere.
Having attended various seminars and workshops, I met great teachers such as Gregor Maehle (Ahtanga yoga – student of Sri Pattabhi Jois and B.K. Iyengar), Rolf – Yogabones in India (Ashtanga yoga), Mark Roberts (Ashtanga Yoga), Danny Paradise, Sophia Xirotiri (Ashtanga yoga) BJ Galvan (Anusara yoga), and many more, I also had the great opportunity to meet my spiritual guidance on my journey to India through my guru Om Baba.
Considering that learning is a lifelong process, I never stop learning and imparting my knowledge through teaching. In addition to the daily classes I have been teaching since 2012, I have been continuously teaching Vinyasa flow, Ashtanga, Hatha, Anusara yoga, restorative yoga, yoga nidra and Yin yoga, I also run my own yoga studio in my city – Moksha Yoga. I have also participated and organized yoga teacher training courses for 8 years now as a yoga teacher trainer. My new love is called Yoga retreats, having already organized quite a few, where I can freely express all my love for yoga!
Lenia Tzialla
(Trainer - Sky & Sand Studio)
Starting my journey from the water sports, I dedicated myself to championships as a swimmer from the age of four and for the next 17 years. Then, following the field of sports and completing my studies in Ioannina, I worked professionally in gyms and swimming pools for the next ten years with continuous training both in the field of strengthening and in the rehabilitation of injuries through gymnastics.
It was then that I met the world of Yoga doing some practices for the beginning, which soon stole my heart and mind. From 2018 until today, completing the training as a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga teacher from Yoga Alliance, I remain loyal and determined to what I define as my life purpose ..to generously offer help and support to my small community through Yoga but other practices of movement of the body but also of the spirit as well, providing my knowledge and experience selflessly.
You will find me every day at my Yoga Studio ‘Sky and Sand’, a place full of love, light and smiles and you will most likely see me with my head on the ground and my feet in the sky!
You will also find me on the Instagram account “Leniatzi” giving strength every day and encouraging my team. One thing is for sure: it will welcome you full of life and take you on a very beautiful, safe and magical journey.
Evi Papageorgiou
(Trainer - Nama The art of healing)
I’m Evi …and I am a holistic healer. I was born and raised in Ioannina. I loved sports since I was a child. Thanks to my indomitable will for knowledge, I was involved in championships for many years. At the same time I studied people and health.
I try to improve every day… My goal and the purpose of my life, to help in the best possible way, whoever needs my help. I try every day to contribute to the harmony and balance of body, soul and mind. I choose to live with gratitude for everything good in my life and I am full of positive attitude.
My discipline and relentless search for improvement has led me to my own healing center, where I give my best, tirelessly to improve the lives of the people who trust me.
Dimitris Kolias
“Yogas citta vritti nirodhah,”
“Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.”
Instant gratification is a recurring theme in our society. From phone and social media addictions to the very prevalent consumerism, we all have gotten used to our little dopamine shots. When you pair that with demanding and sometimes stressful studies and work, in my case Epidemiology and teaching, your mind might begin to race, like mine did. Maria my, then soon to be, first teacher brought me across the above aphorism from the yoga sutras of Patanjali and it became my que to start practicing yoga. A couple of years later I decided to get my 200h TTC certification. Since then I have been teaching a variety of classes (including ashtanga, yin, and vinyasa flow) in two yoga schools, Moksha yoga and Sky and Sand, while trying to incorporate the Sutra1.2, as best as I can, to my and my students practice.
